For the softphone connection to Alcatel-Lucent OXO Connect telephone systems, a problem with call forwarding has been fixed. If a softphone was in a call with an internal phone and the phone forwarded the call to another phone (via "blind transfer"), the forwarding attempt was interrupted and the call was hung up. In the future, the forwarding destination will be reached and the call can be held. In technical detail, a SIP referral was sent to the softphone during forwarding, but this was answered with a "not implemented". Now the SIP referral is answered positively by the softphone and the call to the forwarding destination is established on a subordinate basis.

For the Windows client, call control has now also been implemented for Yealink headsets. The SDK from the manufacturer is used ("libyealinkusbsdk.dll" version 2.0.0.5). Thus, calls can be controlled using the control buttons of the headset. This includes the functions mute/activate microphone, accept call, hang up connected call, hang up call in ringback state, retrieve held call, accept second call (call waiting), hang up connected second call.
A better error message will be displayed on the client in the future if the media server hangs during an outgoing call. This can happen if, for example, during an installation the Media Server would not be able to run due to processor problems with an SSE2 unit. The client for Windows now reports "Error in Media Server" after about 6 seconds. Previously, the client hung up after about 15 seconds with connection timeout itself.

In certain system environments the media server could not be used. This concerns systems that do not provide an SSE processing unit on the processor side (CPU). In the error case, the Media Server crashed in libcrypto-10.dll, no successful softphone startup could be performed. The system requirements for the Media Server have been changed accordingly. As a workaround, this DLL is also available as a "no-SSE2" patch variant. However, it is recommended to use systems with SSE computing unit, because with this DLL certain computing operations are emulated on the software side, which results in an increased consumption of CPU computing power and therefore fewer subscribers can make calls simultaneously.

As the federation service "ngn21" will be switched off on 31/12/2021, the configuration has been removed from the UCServer administration. An already configured service will continue to work until the time of shutdown.
In the next maintenance release, ngn21 will be completely removed from the software.

For connections to the vPBX cloud provider Placetel, the behavior of internally forwarded calls has been improved. The destination participant receives a SIP diversion info that contains the forwarding participant. This is signaled in the case not with the phone number, but with a string from the registration data. Since the user does not know this data, the stored phone number will be determined in the future and displayed as "forwarded by:", if available.
For connections to the vPBX cloud provider Placetel, the behavior for incoming calls with suppressed phone number has been improved. In this case, we receive an "anonymous" in the "From:" as usual, but a P-Asserted (PAI) is additionally signaled with the own phone number. Therefore, the own phone number was displayed as the sender of the call. In the future we will only show "call number unknown" for suppressed call numbers and ignore a PAI with the own call number.

A revised SDK from the manufacturer has been implemented for the Windows client for call control with Jabra headsets. The SDK offers new possibilities and bug fixes. The previously used "Jabra Native HID API" (JabraNativeHid.dll version 1.4.308.0), has been updated to the current "Jabra SDK" (libjabra.dll version 1.8.8.5). All call control features implemented for ProCall were retested in the process.

A server-side improvement has been implemented for softphone environments that do not provide forwarding information by the PBX for consultation calls. In this case, the consultation destination may not recognize when a transfer has been performed, as the old call contacts are still displayed. The forwarding information is now provided within the server as long as the forwarding participant and also the consultation target via softphone are on the server. During the transfer, the connected party display updates, and the "Holds:" party display (if present) is replaced with a new "Forwarded from:" display. If forwarding information is provided by the PBX, it takes precedence.

A more tolerant processing of the Diversion header has been implemented for softphone connections to Panasonic PBXs. Previously, a missing 'sip:' prefix was classified as incorrect and therefore discarded. Now Diversion headers without 'sip:' prefix are also processed. These are then displayed in the client as "Forwarded from:".

In some cases, the number of the pickup destination was displayed in the Windows client with the prefixed feature code as 'Forwarded by' for the pickup subscriber. This meant that no contact could be determined. Now the prefixed feature code is removed and the canonical number is determined internally via location data. Therefore the correct number and the contact of the subscriber (if available) can be displayed, from which was fetched.
If a call is picked up or answered by another phone, the called subscriber receives a 'Cancel' from the PBX. If the PBX provides a matching reason code in the 'Cancel', the call is no longer displayed as 'unanswered' in the Journal Browser, for example. Either Q.850 formatted reason codes (cause=26; text="Non selected user-clearing") or SIP formatted reason codes (cause=200;text="Call completed elsewhere") are supported. These reason codes are widely used, but there are also implementations that do not provide a reason code in the 'Cancel'.
Several crashes of the ProCall Client for Windows have been fixed.
