A revised SDK from the manufacturer has been implemented for the Windows client for call control with Jabra headsets. The SDK offers new possibilities and bug fixes. The previously used "Jabra Native HID API" (JabraNativeHid.dll version 1.4.308.0) has been updated to the current "Jabra SDK" (libjabra.dll version 1.8.8.5). All call control features implemented for ProCall have been retested. In the PBX Call Assist for Windows client, it was possible to execute commands (e.g. JavaScript, ActiveX) in the underlying Microsoft Internet Explorer remotely, i.e. from another PBX Call Assist client, via the contact portal or the multimedia business card or federation, using chat messages. A potential attacker could thus transfer any (malicious) software to the system and execute it there.
Recommendation:
estos recommends updating to the latest version of PBX Call Assist 3 (6.4.11. or higher).
