...</subscriptionFailureHandling>
A configuration can now be transferred from one variant to a specific other variant.
Bug Fixes
With some providers it was not possible to send fax messages in the local phone network.
Note: : If an analogue telephone and a user instead of an external device fax were temporarily configured as a workaround, this must be reversed.
Only applies to version 2.2.0 COMtrexx Next: After deleting all contacts, it was no longer possible to log in.
If automatic exchange line request was switched off, the 0 for exchange line request was not transferred to the contacts. External calls initiated via the contacts failed. LDAP now checks the automatic exchange line request when a call number is requested. If the telephone number to be supplied has more than 4 digits, it is regarded as external and preceded by an exchange line access number.
Note: For the few exceptions where telephone numbers with less than 5 digits are external, these must be entered with the local area code.
If automatic exchange line request was switched off, no internal phone numbers/contacts were displayed for newly created users.
An unnecessary empty contact Admin was displayed in the COMfortel D-series phone.
If automatic exchange line request was switched off, the callback via the voicemail app did not work on a COMfortel D-series phone.
The public IP address was also sent in the header, even if the option was switched off.
After logging out (roaming user), a COMfortel D-series phone was still displayed as available.
External call forwarding was always carried out via accounts at the system location and sometimes failed. The account associated with the redirected number is now used.
Functions > Time control > Switching times: The number of possible switching times was not displayed correctly.

Bug Fixes
Changing ports were used to connect to the proxy server. Now a fixed port is always used.
Softphones with a '+' in the password could not register. This remains the case. Automatically generated passwords no longer contain a '+'. For manually entered passwords, the '+' must be avoided/removed.
Note: When using the COMfortel SoftPhone for Windows, the IPv6 address of the PC must currently be/remain disabled for a stable telephony function.
With larger amounts of data (e.g. due to longer announcements), error messages occurred during the backup.
The status of the Do Not Disturb function was displayed incorrectly if the status was changed during a set rework time.
In rare cases, there were erroneous system messages regarding the fan.
Administration > Licences: In connection with the feature level, there were misleading displays.
Voice mail and fax boxes > Profiles > Configure > Call-specific behaviour: Recordings could not be enabled.

The Codec G.729 could not be used from internal telephones.
Incoming calls from the D1 net were no longer signalled.
Communication between fax printer driver and COMtrexx was not possible. This is fixed with this version in conjunction with version 1.4.4.3 of the fax printer driver.
Note: If the use of HTTPS was temporarily switched off as a workaround, this must be reversed. This must be done on each PC used in the dialogue of the fax printer driver and here in the COMtrexx: Administration > Network > Server service > Force HTTPS connection
After changing certain settings and exporting, provider templates could no longer be imported under certain circumstances.
The ringing sequence linear - fixed - rotating - split group did not work correctly.
In countries without an area code, there could be problems with number transfer.
Announcement before answering was not played at the target of a call forwarding if announcement before answering was not also active at the forwarding party.
Connections with individual participants always broke off after a short time. Now improved handling of faulty ACK packets that reach the COMtrexx after modifications on the provider side.
When the voicemail app first accessed the COMtrexx, the voicemail boxes and messages were not displayed correctly.
In connection with the access of the voicemail app, problems could occur when accessing the web interface of the COMtrexx.
When this option was switched on, sibilant sounds were saved as a message after the caller hung up early.
Administration > Maintenance > Message Configuration > Logo: A previously selected logo was no longer displayed when the page was called up again.
Administration > Network > Ports: The ports of the Auerswald Proxy was not displayed in the port view.

yealink_template.cfg: To prevent dropouts during BLF signalling, the TCP transport protocol was added to the template of the Yealink telephones. In individually created provisioning files, this change must be transferred manually:account.1.sip_server.1.transport_type=1
When dialling a number without an area code, the phone's location (if set) or alternatively the user's location is now dialled in advance. The PBX location is only used here if no other location can be identified.
Bug Fixes
Calls answered on the COMfortel SoftPhone could not be transferred via blind transfer.
For the connection to the proxy server, changing ports were used instead of the set port. Now the set value + 1 is always used.
The phones COMfortel 1400 IP/2600 IP/3600 IP were no longer able to blind transfer after the update to 1.8.2.
With longer voicemail messages, sending e-mails with attachments in MP3 format did not work under certain circumstances.
There were call disruptions in connection with certain providers.
User data > Contacts and assignment > Import > CSV import: Contacts could not be imported. Now the import is possible again. After the import, the page must be called up again. The takeover of the contacts takes place with: User data > Contacts and assignment > Apply CSV > Move
Contacts with UTF8 character set could not be found in the phone.
Administration > Network > Ports > Log in PCAP format (wireshark): Port for LAN 2 was missing in the overview.
Exchange lines > Providers and Accounts > Import > Load configuration: Direct loading of a provider template from the Internet was not available. Instead, the xml file in question must be saved temporarily and then imported.
Under certain circumstances, a telephone was not correctly provisioned after the user was changed or after the call number was changed. After that, telephony was no longer possible.
Special characters in SIP passwords led to occasional problems (e.g. device no longer registered after provisioning).
Misleading error messages and the sporadic creation of a coredump file when the internet connection was lost occurred.
An analogue device was created instead of a DECT device.
In the case of external call forwarding via the system, the call number of the switchboard was transmitted instead of the forwarded call number.
Sending an e-mail was reported as successful when using special characters that were not possible, although no e-mail could be sent. Now this is correctly displayed in the system messages. Special characters that cannot be used are listed in the help.
For COMfortel 1400/2600/3600 IP, calls accepted by other group members were still displayed in the caller list.
Administration > Licences: The information on the expiry of licences may not have been correct.
Administration > Network > IP block- and allowlist > IP blocklist: The blocking time was not dispalyed correctly. Now the time until which the IP address is blocked is displayed instead.
User/Groups > Profiles: After a certain number of users/groups, profiles could no longer be created.
User data > Contacts and assignment > New > Phone numbers > User-defined: The user-defined designation for a phone number could not be saved.
User data > Call data: Sorting may not have worked as expected.
External Devices > Fax > New: A new entry here simultaneously led to the entry of a contact.
Telephones > Provisioning > New: Files may have been created twice.
Telephones > Assignment > Configuration > Jitter buffer: An invalid value was displayed.
Telephones > Assignment > New/Configuration > Model: A COMfortel M-710/720/730 could not be selected.
Telephones > Assignment/Status: The values of different terminals may not have been displayed correctly after provisioning.
Voice mail and fax boxes > Phone numbers > Configuration > Box settings > Outgoing mail server: The name was not dispalyed correctly.
A change of the user name admin during commissioning (initialisation) of the system was not transferred to a telephone of the COMfortel D-series.

Version 1.4.10 is required for an update to version 1.6.0 or higher. After the update to version 1.4.10 or higher, saving a firmware lower than 1.4.10 (downgrade) is no longer possible. After the update to version 1.6.3 or higher, saving a firmware lower than 1.6.3 (downgrade) is no longer possible. If it is necessary, please contact the Auerswald/FONtevo Support service.
Only COMtrexx VM: Updating to version 1.8.2 or higher may improve the audio quality. In order for the necessary changes to take effect, a double reboot must be carried out once after the update (usual reboot after the update plus additional reboot).
By installing the COMtrexx software, you automatically agree to the End User Licence Agreement for Software (EULA) and the Open Source Licences. In addition, you confirm that you have read and agree to the COMtrexx Privacy Policy.
You can download the EULA and the privacy policy as a PDF on this page.
Test licences via the tryout mode
For test purposes, the COMtrexx VM includes a tryout mode. In this mode, three free test licences are available to you. The validity period of the test licences is 14 days. The tryout mode is included in the regular COMtrexx software and must be activated before initialising the system for the use of test licences.
Please note: After initialising the system, the free licences are automatically deleted. For the productive use of the COMtrexx, paid floating user licences must be installed.
Floating user licenses
The COMtrexx solutions can only be used in combination with floating user licences. You can obtain these and other licences from our authorised sales partners. Please note that additional services such as software maintenance and function enhancements may incur additional costs.
Known bugs in version 1.8.2

New functions
For incoming calls, a COMfortel D-series telephone now displays which destination was called (external call number, group, forwarded destination).
Important: The call flow display is only available with feature level 2 or higher. If you want to use this function, please contact your dealer or system partner.
The contacts of the PBX can now be synchronised with existing Gmail accounts.
Important: The synchronisation with a Gmail account is only available with feature level 2 or higher. If you want to use this function, please contact your dealer or system partner.
In order to be able to securely connect devices to the PBX, the PBX now offers an integrated OpenVPN server.
Important: The OpenVPN server is only available with feature level 2 or higher. If you want to use this function, please contact your dealer or system partner.
Improvements
The term standard contact group, which was previously used twice, is now only used for the assignment to the user. The contact group type is now called PBX.
It is now displayed how long the COMfortel SoftPhone is available free of license costs:Administration > Licences
The PBX can now be found in the network without knowing the IP address. Enter in the browser: comtrexx.local
Faster call set-up for internal calls.
The provisioning templates for COMfortel SoftPhone and COMfortel WS-500x have been extended to address various issues with the end devices.
The device scheme and thus the creation of devices has been simplified.
A SIP soft client can now be created.
Improved audio quality. Observe the note on rebooting after the update (see above).
Security
Improved security by using Fail2ban.
Important: Note that the improved security may also lead to more blocking of non-malicious access. Even repeated "mistyping" when entering the password or a configuration error can lead to an entry in the IP blocklist.
Bug Fixes
Switching times entered for Saturday may also have been carried out on Sunday.
Automatic reception did not work with DTMF inband or SIPINFO.
After pressing the logout key, the IP address of the phone was entered in the IP blocklist.
Outgoing calls were terminated under certain circumstances after a short signalling. This could be fixed by the following setting:Telephones > Assignment > Configuration > RTP encryption > only unencrypted. Now the setting is already correct for a newly created phone.
When starting a COMtrexx VM from the saved state, the system time was not updated.
An external fax machine could not be called from a PTMP connection.
Calls could not be forwarded.
After a reboot, the fan of a COMtrexx Business may be running at full speed.
Individual functions such as park positions were not supported for BLF. Now VoIP end devices can monitor other internal users, groups, park positions of call parking, voice mail/fax boxes or door terminals using BLF and receive information about their calls or their busy status.
Functions > Time control > Configurations > New: The dialouge could not be closed after the input. The newly created configuration was only visible after reloading the page.
Telephones > Provisioning > Import: The dialogue for overwriting a file could not be confirmed.
Administration > Service > Network Diagnosis > Ping: The ping was not carried out correctly.
A change of the user name admin at the first login was not carried out. The change is now made, but is not then transferred to a telephone of the COMfortel D-series. For this purpose, the admin user name and admin password must be changed here: Administration > Contact information > Administrator access > Administrator access
Filters entered may not have been applied correctly.

Please note, after the initialisation of the system, the free licences are automatically deleted. For operation of the COMtrexx floating user licences are required.
Floating user licences
The COMtrexx solutions can only be used in combination with floating user licences. You can obtain these and other licences from our authorised sales partners. Please note that additional services such as software maintenance and function extensions may cause additional costs.
This version is required for updates to later versions (greater than 1.4.10).

Occasionally, there could be disruptions during call set up, for example in connection with call forwarding in the exchange line using Call Deflection.
External calls to a group could not be accepted on a COMfortel D series phone.
This version includes important security updates. Its use is strongly recommended.
The PBX now allows the activation of mutual SSL authentication. This means that not only the PBX checks the registrar's certificate, but the registrar also checks a certificate transmitted by the PBX. Requirement for this is the configuration of two externally generated files in the .pem format: a client certificate and a private key. Provide these files and a passphrase that may belong to the private key in the provider configuration:Exchange lines > Providers and Accounts > Provider > SIP > SIPS > Client certificate/Client key/Client passphrase.
Changing the assignment of a user to a phone (Roaming User) could influence the group assignment. The user has been logged out for incoming calls.
Licenses were charged for analog fax machines without an assigned port. Now, a license is only charged when a module has been configured and a port has been assigned to the fax machine.
The settings (logger categories) for the logging were not correctly adopted under certain circumstances.
Unnecessary information was displayed in the call list of a COMfortel D-series phone. Now, certain information is no longer displayed.
In connection with Vodafone Kabeldeutschland, the call forwarding status on a COMfortel 3600 IP key was not correctly displayed.
Usernames with umlauts led to incorrect display in COMfortel D-series phones.
Under certain circumstances, the transfer of a call on hold with a COMfortel D-series phone failed.
Under certain circumstances, the phone did not display the correct BLF status.
Some calls could not be accepted in some cases when the system was under high load.
On blind transfer (transfer without announcement) the transferring user was disconnected if the call destination could not be reached. Now, the first call partner is reconnected.
There were call disruptions in connection with Telekom Magenta.
Under certain circumstances, the blind transfer (transfer without announcement) failed. The call came back and the phone switched to handsfree.
Administration > Contact information > Administrator access > Administrator access > Change admin password: Changing the admin password was not immediately effective.
Administration > Network > IP configuration > MAC address: Here, the MAC address was not correctly displayed (COMtrexx VM only).
Administration > Service > Logging > Logging activated: Switchin off the logging had no effect if the syslog server had been selected as logging system.
Administration > Maintenance > Update and Restart: When updating and restarting via the web interface, a link to an incorrect IP address was displayed. Now, the correct IP address is displayed and the PBX can be reached via the link.
Exchange lines > Exchange line routing > Exchange line routing incoming: When dividing a number block, the linear call distribution was not implemented for all created number blocks. Now, new created number blocks are always implemented with linear call distribution. The remaining number blocks keep their settings. When deleting a number block, you will be asked which number block should be connected to. The settings of the chosen number block are adopted. If required, existing call forwardings are deleted.
Exchange lines > Exchange line routing > Exchange line routing incoming: Changing the call distribution for a phone number failed and led to deleting the phone number from the account settings.
Exchange lines > Exchange line routing > Exchange line routing incoming: Obviously, a call distribution could be configured for a new created empty account. Now, there is a note that phone numbers have to be created for this account first.
Exchange lines > Providers and Accounts > Account > Settings > Miscellaneous > Expert configuration > Call forwarding no reply (CFNR): The keypad/registro codes could not be changed.
Exchange lines > Providers and Accounts: After temporarily switching off, a Telekom account was no longer available.
User data > Call data > External partner: Under certain circumstances the phone number of the external partners was not displayed in the call data list.
External Devices > Fax > Module > No module: This selection was impossible.
External Devices > Fax > Port: Ports were incorrectly displayed.
External Devices > Relays (actuators): The system was not displayed in the relays list.
Functions > Time control > Configurations > Copy: The help link was not working. Now, available helps are linked.
Telephones > Assignment: Filtering after usernames worked only with correct capital and lower-case letters. Now, capital and lower-case letters are ignored.
Telephones > Assignment/Status: The status display of the provisioning file did not match with the assignment.

By installing the COMtrexx software, you automatically agree to the End User Licence Agreement for Software (EULA) and the Open source licenses. In addition, you confirm that you have read and agreed to the Auerswald privacy policy.
The EULA and the data protection declaration can be downloaded as PDF on this page.
Testlicences via the Try-Out Mode
For testing purposes the COMtrexx VM includes a try-out mode. In this mode three free test licences, valid for 14 days, are available. The try-out mode is included in the regular COMtrexx software and needs to be activated before initialising the system.
You find further information about functions or configuration in the Advanced Information/online help. In this chapter, improvements and bug-fixes of this version are described.
