Security

Synchronisation with a Google account

Improved security when synchronising with a Google account. For certain requests when synchronising with a Google account, the PBX needs access to the Auerproxy server. Make sure that the PBX can reach the Auerproxy server on the Internet.

Bug Fixes

VoIP provider will be overwritten without asking.

When importing a new VoIP provider file, the old settings were overwritten.

New templates in file management

New templates were sometimes created in the file management under the wrong device type. The templates are now sorted correctly.

Settings for NAT traversal

The provider settings for NAT traversal could no longer be changed under certain conditions. This is now possible again.

Default settings for NAT traversal set incorrectly

The NAT traversal settings in the VoIP provider were set to disabled by default.

Incorrect display of the phone number in group calls

Switching via toggling: During a group call (subscriber logged in as outgoing), the correct call number was not displayed for the called party.

No display of contact group permissions for COMfortel WS-IP Handset

Note added in the help. COMfortel WS-IP Handset is not displayed because access cannot be configured for individual handsets.

The announcement at an Automatic reception was aborted and restarted.

On the page Subscriber > Functional Overview > VoIP settings the option 'As entered in the phone book, if necessary with exchange line access number' was missing for the setting 'Format of the transmitted phone number for LDAP queries'.

Incorrect configuration switch after a holiday

The configuration switchover after a holiday was faulty.

PBX offers deactivated function for selection

The 'Comfort Noise Support' function was offered for selection in the PBX, although it was disabled in the provider profile.

COMfortel SoftPhone: External destination cannot be called

Due to the missing exchange access number, iOS users were unable to call external numbers. It is now possible to set up automatic exchange line access for COMfortel SoftPhone in the PBX.

COMfortel WS-500 handsets without additional information

On COMfortel WS-500 handsets, the called phone number was no longer displayed as additional information.

Subscriber of a group does not ring.

The subscriber of a group did not ring if this subscriber was already logged in to a previously called group.

LDAP

Dialling from the LDAP contacts did not work on a COMfortel SoftPhone with an internal phone exchange line request type. The necessary setting is now also available for the COMfortel SoftPhone:Subscriber (scr.) > Properties > VoIP settings > Format of transferred phone number for LDAP requests > Country code with leading zeros and exchange line access number (e.g. 00495306...)

Handset on COMfortel WS-500

After an update to handset version 2.53, contact names stored locally in the handset were no longer displayed during the call when there was an incoming call. Now the contact name is displayed again. The contact name is now displayed instead of the external phone number called.

Restrictions

If a softphone attempted to log in incorrectly, the IP address of the PBX was blocked (IP block list).

Telephoning

Initiating a query call with a third subscriber was not possible with analogue phones.

Music on hold

After announcement before answering, music on hold was played during the call, even if the function was disabled.

Web interface

Subscriber (scr.) > IP provisioning > File management: Newly created provisioning files were not displayed.

Connection setup

The waiting time for block dialling can now be set shorter to enable a faster connection setup: Public switched tel. networks > VoIP > Provider > Configure > Only en-bloc dialling | Delay time after last digit dialed

The IP address query only worked on analogue, ISDN and system telephones, but not on standard IP telephones.

It happened occasionally that softphones lost their registration.

Softphones with a + in the password could not register. Now no + is allowed in the password.

The call was not ended on COMfortel D-series telephones after the other party hung up.

Trial licences for the COMfortel SoftPhone can now be enabled in the Auerswald Shop.

Configurable Hold time after announcement before answering external calls to a group

The function determines the hold time in the waiting loop of a group. The maximum possible hold time is 30 minutes. This applies to the period in which no subscriber in the group is available. If a subscriber becomes free, the hold time ends and the normal call duration of max. 3 minutes applies.

Update messages for WS-500X and COMfortel SoftPhone

If this function is enabled, the name and call number can be updated during the connection set-up for blind transfer and online name search.

Function key SUB CF

On a COMmander 6000 with disabled automatic exchange line request, the function key TN AWS of a connected D-400 (direct exchange access enabled) showed no status.

E-mail logo

An imported e-mail logo (Administration > E-mail > Logo management) could not be deleted.

Central caller list

On a COMfortel IP series phone, calls were displayed in the central caller list although the call was answered by another group subscriber.

System phone contact image

A contact image stored in the PBX phone book was not displayed when calling the corresponding contact in a COMfortel 3600 IP.

Password Provisioning WS-500X

When provisioning a WS-500X, using »$« in the password caused it to be falsified in the provisioning file. The subscriber could therefore not be logged on to the PBX.

Callback on busy

CF on busy no longer worked on analogue extensions.

Voicemail app: Voicemail box readiness

The readiness of the voicemail box could not be disabled via the voicemail app.

VoIP with 1und1: Error 403

With a VoIP account from provider 1und1, telephony failures occurred (error 403).

New functions

Account Management

To ensure that two internal subscribers can be registered on one device (COMfortel IP only), a new button has been implemented: Subscriber (scr.) > VoIP settings > Allow login with multiple accounts.

New audio codec

Support of a new audio codec NAU88C22 for analogue subscribers and exchange line connections (FXO and FXS modules, COMpact 4000 mainboard).

The order of the codecs G.711 and G.722 used in the VoIP operating mode "Broadband" was swapped.

Web interface

The page load of the web interface was too slow.

The COMfortel IP Editor was not functioning properly. With the current version, the COMfortel IP Editor starts as usual.

Access via https to the web interface of the PBX failed if the "content security policy" was also activated.

After recreating SIPS/SRTP certificates, error messages were displayed in the web interface.

On a COMpact 5200R the registration address (Administration > VoIP configuration) was not displayed after activation of the COMfortel SoftPhone.

Licenses

Extended park positions: The activation did not work on a COMpact 5500.

PBX management

Registration address SIP proxy: When importing a PBX backup into another PBX, the serial number of the original PBX was taken over.

Provisioning

On a COMpact 5200, after creating a provisioning file and commissioning a WS-500, the LDAP phonebook did not work. Error message: Service not available.

When creating a softphone subscriber, the special character "&" is no longer permitted when assigning a password, as this caused provisioning to fail.

In the provisioning file for the COMfortel SoftPhone, "RFC-2833" was entered by default for DTMF transmission.

Telephoning

Due to an error in the libsrtp area, there was an increased number of dropped calls.

Calls with a COMfortel SoftPhone were rejected with error message 403.

With the COMfortel SoftPhone (desktop client), the ringing tone continued to be played after call acceptance and the call was terminated by the softphone after approx. 30 sec.

In the COMfortel SoftPhone Mobile App, outgoing calls started by direct entry or from the caller list frequently failed with the error message 'Forbidden'.

The call length for the different device types for a group call with text before reporting was adjusted.

On a CP 5500, there were sporadic dropped calls with the provider Telekom Magenta.

Previously, the subscriber password was also valid for LDAP requests. A separate LDAP password has now been implemented.

Security warnings. As of firmware 8.4, a security warning is sent to the admin account when the outgoing mail server is set up when an admin login or a challenge response occurs.

TAPI security

TAPI server of the PBX opened port if no TAPI was configured. Now the TAPI server is only started if a password has been set up.

The phone number was not displayed on the account in the COMfortel SoftPhone App.

After each call up to the PBX, an exception for the invalid security certificate had to be added again.

Switching various functions in the provisioing file for the COMfortel D-series no longer worked. Now switching is possible again. To do this, the phone must be re-provisioned.

Telephoning

For outgoing connections via the provider Vodafone, no ringing tone was output in certain scenarios. Now the ringing tone can be heard again.

The provider Telekom Magenta occasionally dropped calls. Now the problem is solved.

General

New assignment of a one-time password

The owner or an authorised representative can gain access to the PBX after identification, despite the forgotten password.
So far, several options were available for reassigning a one-time password.
In the future, there will only be one way to increase the security standard for this procedure.

Change of access rights

Users with access to Configuration Manager of the PBX (in the LAN or via the Internet) can obtain administration rights through certain non-documented accesses.
This possibility of increasing rights was blocked by security measures.

NOTE:

For security reasons, please make an update, even if you do not need the extended functions.
Direct access from the Internet to the Configuration Manager (via port forwarding in the router) should be switched off for security reasons.
Instead, use Auerswald Remote Access or VPN access to access remote ICT systems via the Internet.

Expansion of the park position

The number of park positions for Call parking can be increased from 10 to 30 positions via voucher via the shop.

InterCom in the COMfortel D-series and Standard VoIP devices

By purchasing the activation of the "SIP convenience package brand plus" it is now possible to make an InterCom call to standard SIP devices. In order to use the new function with the COMfortel D-series, a phone update to version 2.0 or higher and the activation of the "Convenience package D-series" in the respective PBX is necessary.

Status of the VoIP call channels

If the internal VoIP call channels are exceeded (no longer enough call channels available), the system administration is informed of a simple malfunction by e-mail or the administration can view this via the system messages.

Signalling of Multi-path call forwarding faulty at COMfortel 3600 IP

If a function key on a COMfortel 3600 IP has been assigned an external multi-path call forwarding, the LED is now correctly signalled for a Vodafone account when switching.

After an update, entries were deleted from the IP routing

When updating to version 8.2A, entries are no longer deleted from the IP routing.

Fallback destination not displayed for LAN-TAPI subscribers

If in Austria only the head number was called with an ISDN PTP connection, the call is now also signalled to a registered LAN-TAPI subscriber in the event of a fallback.

Too many requests due to wrong phone number at the Telekom provider

Attempts to register with a wrong number no longer result in the PBX from attempting to register with several requests per second.

After updating to version 8.0B, the PBX was partially unavailable

With the update to version 8.2A, the behaviour no longer occurs that PBXs partially could no longer be reached.

By changing the subscriber MSN, the handset was removed from the base

If the subscriber number of a COMfortel WS-500X Handset is changed in the PBX, this no longer results in the handset being removed from the base.

SIP alert info "External and internal calls" was not functional

If the option "External and internal calls" was set for a VoIP subscriber in the settings for "SIP alert info", the info message is now correctly transmitted when a call is made.
