New – Firmware update 2.70.0 for COMfortel DECT bases

New update for COMfortel WS-500S and WS-500M

New functions

802.1x / LLDP-MED

The base station now supports 802.1x and LLDP-MED.

Note: This setting cannot be configured via auto-provisioning, only manually.

Client certificate per service

A separate client certificate can now be selected for each service.

LLDP in the web interface

LLDP can now be enabled and the interval configured in the web interface.

Handset provisioning

Handsets can now be set up via provisioning.

SUOTA Push

Firmware updates for handsets can now be triggered via SUOTA Push.

Improvements

Base stations in multiple IP subnets

Base stations previously had to be located in the same IP subnet as the DECT manager. This restriction no longer applies.

HTTP digest credentials

For HTTP digest authentication, the web interface credentials are now used first (if configured).

Handset provisioning

When adding a handset via provisioning, the internal number is now optional.

Provisioning URL

The provisioning URL was changed because the previous SIP Notify message was faulty.

SIP-TLS

With SIP-TLS, the SNI extension (Server Name Indication) is no longer sent.

Supported DECT devices

Support added for new, upcoming professional DECT devices.

Base station web interface

The base station now has a web interface for restart/reset, firmware, DECT manager, IP/LAN, diagnostics, status and login.

Security

Security updates

Current security patches and vulnerability fixes applied.

TLS encryption

The DECT system now only supports TLS 1.2 and higher for increased security; older, insecure TLS versions are no longer supported.

Bug Fixes

ip-control

The ip-control function was unexpectedly terminated from version 2.65 onwards.

COMfortel WS500S registration

Registration of the COMfortel WS500S with a uaCSTA client failed.

System crash

System crashes occurred that required a restart.
