The expansion of the COMuniq network to include the 5G standard increases the general availability of our mobile services. Mobile data is now available in the 4G standard and also in the 5G network at no additional cost.
5G as a data standard
It is important to understand that 5G currently functions as a pure data standard. In the 5G network you can make calls as usual, the call is then automatically established via 4G. When using COMuniq ONE Mobile, you make calls via the data connection and thus use the 5G network.
Free use for all mobile customers
Access to our 5G network is available to all COMuniq customers using our SIM cards at no additional cost. Our aim is to enable as many users as possible to benefit from the fast data connection via 5G at no extra cost.
What do you need to do?
To access the 5G network, you need a 5G-enabled device. Also make sure you activate 5G on your mobile phone. In addition to permanent activation, many devices also offer the option "5G automatic". In this case, 5G is only used when it is required for the desired transmission. This option can reduce the power consumption of the mobile phone. Otherwise, you do not need to take any further steps. As soon as your device is within our 5G coverage area, you will automatically benefit from the advantages.
