In addition to over 200 optimisations and bug fixes, release 2.52 also offers the following new features, which, among other things, increase the security and professionalism of users:
- Support for Microsoft Teams
Microsoft Teams calls can be made and received with the COMfortel M-710/720/730 handsets. In addition, several parallel calls and participation in Teams meetings are possible. The DND, Hold/Resume and Mute/Unmute functions provide the user with further comfort for his Teams calls on the handset.
Besides, voicemails can be listened to via the aforementioned DECT terminals – a notification informs the user when a new voicemail is available. Further functions for Microsoft Teams support on the handsets are DTMF, call transfers and local call forwarding. Microsoft Teams sign-in/sign-out is done via the handset or remotely via the Teams administrator. No additional licences are required apart from the usual Microsoft Teams licences.
- DECT Manager redundancy
In the event of an increasing number of errors (base stations logging out of the DECT Manager), the redundancy base takes over the DECT Manager role and the system continues to run stably. This minimises the risk of failure, which ensures increased security, e.g. in hospitals.
- AML
The configuration and handling of AML licences has been simplified. In addition, an alarm server can now be informed if a DECT base has a fault, so that this can be remedied more quickly. Risks of failure are minimised, security is maximised.
- Waiting time for firmware updates
Up to now, the update started immediately. Now, via provisioning, a waiting time can be set in steps of 300 seconds to be able to end calls before the update. When the time has expired, the update is started.
